Just Me Sessions

I was going to call these sessions 'Just the Kids' sessions, but...maybe you want images of yourself. Headshots for your business. Or artistic maternity images. Or just cause...

I think it is perfect for kids who are celebrating a milestone--graduating from high school. Getting a spot on that sports team that they have been dying to get on. So many things...

This year, I am very interested in adding audio to my images. If you are interested in commissioning me to create a multi-media slideshow like the one I did for Georgia, I would love to do this for you. Just contact me for more details.

Thanks for all the lovely comments about the Georgia slideshow. We are immensely proud of both our children...and, of course, we think they are heartbreakingly beautiful. But, it is nice for a little girl to hear it from so many other people...we shared the comments with her. Today, she is overflowing with confidence which is lovely to see.

Judge Dana

That's right...for the first time ever, I judged an image competition. It was an honour to be asked to do it and a fabulous learning experience. Today, the NAPCP posted an article I wrote about the experience. Thought I'd share it here:

Do you Pin? I do. I love Pinterest for finding new recipes, crafts that I will probably never attempt, and all around pretty things to look at. This morning though, a friend of mine pinned this: I have always wanted to attempt a project like this...in fact, I have started once or twice, but always fall short of finishing. Like MILES short. That combined with the fact that winter is coming to an end and I am feeling a need to recharge on the creative front has got me thinking. I should do this. I am not going to put strict rules on it. I might use my iPhone sometimes. I'll post it even if it sucks.

Anyone feeling up to it? Even if you aren't a photographer, I think this is something you can do on your phone and then keep a folder on a dedicated Pinterest board. It's just a matter of taking 5 minutes to yourself to do something fun and creative. If so, let me know in the comments below and we can follow each other(keep us on track). I'm giving you lots of notice to work up to this ;) We still have a few days before May hits...

Sunshine, Snow and Singapore

I know what you are thinking...how does that title make any sense? Well, this lovely family decided that it was time for them to have a family session. We did it this past weekend, because two of them are home from Singapore. I felt a teeny bit bad for them given the temperature in Calgary this past weekend, but they assured me that it didn't bother them. I call my extended family sessions 'Legacy Sessions' because we get to see the legacy that two people created when they made the decision to love each other. I absolutely adore seeing little ones with their grandparents and think these kinds of sessions are so important. It is truly an honour to create images for people when I know that they will be treasured for many years to come by so many people.
