Canmore Wedding
It was a super hot day in June when I had the pleasure of documenting this day...so hot, that we cut portraits short and went for a cold beer(or Radler or Burt Reynolds--whatever) over at The Rose and Crown. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do ;) It was a beautiful day filled with family, friends and a whole lot of laughter. Here are some of the images we created together.
Enjoy!

Wonderland
I had the loveliest time with these people this weekend. Their excitement, their joy, and their love for one another was palpable. What a treat to have witnessed it all. This was my fourth session with this couple. They have had a maternity session, a newborn session, an engagement session and now a wedding. I will admit to shedding a tear or two throughout the day. I will also say how grateful I am to have had so few complaints from the bridal party about how cold it was. You guys were all such troopers--especially the bride and groom who stayed outside in the snow for well over an hour.
I am officially in love with winter weddings...I would probably feel differently if it was much colder, but it was so beautiful and peaceful being out in the silence of the winter woods.

Epic Greek Wedding
I couldn't decide what to call this post--but the word 'epic' kept running through my head. EPIC bridal party. The priest even mentioned it was the biggest party he'd ever seen. Epic couple--I mean RIDICULOUSLY good looking with incredible fashion sense. How lucky am I? I know that people will want to know about her head piece as I have already had a couple of people ask after I posted an image on Facebook. She had it made at Couture Gown Studio. I think it is maybe one of the most beautiful head pieces I have seen. And, it so suited her. There were a lot of speeches at their reception...and, there was a theme to them...this couple has come through quite a bit since they met and fell in love. At one point, one of the bridesmaids said that she knew that they were perfect for each other because she knew that the bride would never settle for less. I might have cried when she said that...I might have cried when their little girl joined them to walk down the aisle...would you blame me? Thank you to both of them for trusting me to capture their day for them.
