A Family Maternity Session in Studio | Okotoks Photographer
I love this little family and I am so excited that they are welcoming a new little baby into their home!!! And, it's not just because the dad is Bob's cousin ;) They are just so down to earth and such great parents. It's always awesome to visit with them and I love that they trust me to photograph the milestones in their life.
This session was in my studio where we took advantage of some of the items from my studio wardrobe. As well, my friend and incredible make up artist Karlie from Love and Colour Make Up studios was able to come right to the studio and help both mom and daughter get ready. She also helped me get the floral comb provided by the wonderful florists at Fleurish Flower Shop in Calgary just right. And, how cute is that baby's breath floral crown? Such a simple crown that makes such an impact. Grateful for the amazing vendors that I get to work with--they help make all of my maternity sessions just that much more special!!
If you are expecting a baby in 2017, I would love to talk to you about all of my options for interesting maternity photography. Studio, on location, underwater...let's create something awesome together!!

Okotoks Maternity Photographer
This beautiful mama just had her baby a little bit early, so I'm going to get to meet her really soon. She was supposed to be a New Year's baby, but she arrived yesterday. Can't wait to meet her. I thought I would share her maternity session because I loved it oh so much :)
My studio has just been hopping making this November and December two of my busiest months ever. So many extended families, baby bellies and newborn beauties. Did you know that a maternity session and the complete set of digital files is only $500(+gst) when purchased with a newborn session? Did you know that I have an ever expanding wardrobe to help my clients create the maternity images of their dreams? If you are pregnant, the best time to have your photographs done is around the 34 week mark. I'm looking forward to seeing all the new year babies--those that come early and those that come a little bit late ;)
Welcome baby Penny! See you next week!
September Studio Special -- Too Cool For School Portraits
Too Cool For School Portraits
The first day of school always feels like the beginning of a new year for me. This year is no exception. So, to kick off the new year, I have decided to launch my first of many monthly studio specials. Every month, I am going to have a special offer available in my studio(and sometimes some cool monthly events!). This month, I am bringing back a special that premiered last year and was a huge success--TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL PORTRAITS!!!
How about getting COOL school portraits this year? Modern images that truly show your child's personality? For the month of September take advantage of this special to get beautiful, modern portraits of your child to mark the new school year.
$50(+gst) per child for the session and one digital file.
Additional files can be purchased like this:
- $75 for 2 digital files
- $150 for 5 digital files
- $200 for one child's entire gallery
Sessions must take place at the Okotoks studio in the month of September. Sessions take approximately 5-10 minutes per child and are limited in availability. When multiple siblings are booked at once, one sibling shot will be taken and made available for purchase on top of the individual packages. Prints, canvas, and press printed cards are also available for purchase. Heck--we will even print off a cool sheet of wallets if that's how you roll ;)
Contact the studio now to make an appointment before they are all gone!!
My Mila | Calgary Commercial Photography
I was so excited to collaborate with My Mila for this recent commercial shoot. I love the simplicity of My Mila's clothes for babies and toddlers. Everything is so soft and comfortable looking that it left me wondering when she was going to make that maxi skirt in women's sizes ;) And, I think everyone needs a toque with a fur pompom not just the babies!!! Although, they look ridiculously cute on them.
Now that I have my own studio space in Okotoks, I have the flexibility to do projects like this. I'll be honest and say that I like working with smaller brands because they don't just see you as an employee...as someone who is just there to push a button. They see you as a collaborator. A creative whose experience can be used to help elevate the images beyond what they can do on their own. I'm looking forward to working more with this awesome company, but would love to hear from other small companies who are looking to elevate the images they use to represent their brand. Please contact me if you are interested in a collaboration!
