Magical Light

When you live in Alberta, sometimes Mother Nature shows up to your sessions. If you are really lucky, she's in a good mood ;)

We started this session walking through a magical forest that lead to an amazing canyon and ended canoeing into the sunset. All that in the space of a couple of hours is what you get in Alberta's amazing backyard. How lucky are we to live here?

I was a little bit grumpy that day...it's true, but the second we turned off the highway and headed towards Kananaskis...with the spectacular fall display and the gorgeous setting sun...well, I felt at peace. It is truly a magical place. Such a pleasure to hang out with this family for the 3rd time :)

I have room for an evening session this week...and space for one my session on the weekend, if you want to take advantage of the amazing fall we are having.

A Muskoka Summer

I love photographing families in places that are special to them. This past summer, I was able to visit this family up in Ontario cottage country. It was my favourite kind of session. We just hung out on the hammock, the trampoline and the dock...drinking Muskoka Ginger Ale and eating goldfish crackers while mom and dad talked about how they spent the summers of their youths there...and, then I made them get on a big floatie and enjoy the lake. Nice way to spend a summer evening in Muskoka!!
