Mother's Day

Mother's day this weekend...I couldn't decide what to post. I thought about posting a big collage of all the moms I have had the pleasure of documenting this year, but then...well, I went with showing you one of my more recent mom sessions :) A new mom...second time around. I love that I was greeted by a fairy when I arrived for the session...we decided to keep her wings on. This is a glimpse of their life... I know that I am behind in posting my daily pics for my May project. I promise that I am taking them. I think I will have to move to posting once a week though.

Oh! If you are a reader like me, I just want to say that I am volunteering this weekend at the big CBC used book sale. I will be reading in the Story Tent at 1:00 for an hour. Come and say hi if you happen by!

Sunshine, Snow and Singapore

I know what you are thinking...how does that title make any sense? Well, this lovely family decided that it was time for them to have a family session. We did it this past weekend, because two of them are home from Singapore. I felt a teeny bit bad for them given the temperature in Calgary this past weekend, but they assured me that it didn't bother them. I call my extended family sessions 'Legacy Sessions' because we get to see the legacy that two people created when they made the decision to love each other. I absolutely adore seeing little ones with their grandparents and think these kinds of sessions are so important. It is truly an honour to create images for people when I know that they will be treasured for many years to come by so many people.

The Fairies

Hi. My name is Claudia. I'm a fairy. I'm not an ordinary fairy, I'm an 'almost' fairy. I just got the best news. If you lean in real close, I'll tell you. Ready? We welcomed a new fairy... She's real cute, but I wasn't sure about her at first. Finally, I decided that she would do. So, I made a wish....I wished that she would one day be a Princess(I also wished that she would be a 'potty star').We love her so much already :)

And, they all lived happily ever after(even if they were a teeny bit tired)...

The Beginning...

Dana :)

PS--always a pleasure to see my 'Short and Sweet' families grow. Four years ago, I shot their maternity and their newborn.
